A tantric massage is NOT an opportunity for the facilitator to get their physical, emotional, or spiritual needs met. The facilitator is a conduit for the participant to express, experience, and connect with themselves in whatever way they feel their body needs, within the agreed upon boundaries.

A tantric massage is NOT all only rainbows and butterflies and immense pleasure. Though it is possible to have a purely blissful experience, there is a whole range of human emotions and experiences that can surface during a ritual that are all perfectly normal and valid, and it is important to stay present for whatever arises, allowing it to be expressed so it can pass through and be released from the body.

A tantric massage is NOT a replacement for professional talk therapy. Just as it’s not safe to drive a car without first taking lessons to understand with our mind the meanings of the road signs and how the car functions, it can also be dangerous and retraumatizing to the body to bring things to the surface when we may not have the tools or support to be able to process them constructively.

A tantric massage facilitator is NOT a surrogate partner, professional psychological therapist, or counsellor. They are there in service from the heart to facilitate and support the process of the participant from an objective standpoint. They may have knowledge and experience around the body, sexuality, intimacy, life, and relationships, however any sharing serves as personal coaching rather than professional advice.
